My amazing friend and travel buddy, Laurie West, is one of the dedicated volunteers, known lovingly as ROCKateers, who give their time and heart to make magic happen. Laurie serves as a horse handler, and let me tell you, she’s all in! After completing extensive coursework and interning, she now volunteers on a flexible schedule that lets her spend quality time with her beloved horses and the kids and adults who ride them. |
Right now, she’s working with a 6-year-old girl who wears leg braces. Through horseback riding, this sweet girl is strengthening her core muscles and building confidence that follows her into school, home, and life. It’s beautiful to witness how something as simple as riding a horse can create such profound change.

Recently, Corridor Title hosted a fabulous Happy Hour at ROCK, complete with delicious snacks, refreshing drinks, a tour of the facility, and even a wonder presentation that included Georgetown’s Mayor, Josh Schroeder. I attended to cheer on Laurie and left completely inspired! The dedication, professionalism, and pure love shown by the ROCK staff and volunteers are absolutely next level. |
