Living in Canyon Creek off Hwy 620, I see the construction every day, and like many of you, I’ve wondered how it will all come together. Thanks to the 183 North Mobility Project from the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, we’re finally getting a clearer picture of what the future holds!

This short video gives an amazing preview of what’s coming, and trust me, it’s exciting to see it starting to take shape. It’s fun to see what’s ahead for US 183 and our community!

The 183 North Mobility Project is transforming a critical nine-mile stretch of US 183 between SH 45 North and MoPac. Here’s what’s coming:

♦Two new express lanes in each direction

♦An additional general-purpose lane, bringing it to four non-tolled lanes each way

♦Direct express lane connectors to MoPac for smoother transitions

♦Upgraded paths, sidewalks, and cross-street connections for bicycles and pedestrians

♦Operational improvements to southbound MoPac for better traffic flow

Once completed, you’ll have more choices:
Take the express lanes for faster, more reliable trips, or
Use the improved, free general-purpose lanes without paying a toll.

It’s all about reducing congestion, improving mobility, and giving emergency responders and transit better access too.

We’re already starting to see the vision come together, and when it’s finished in the next couple of years, it’s going to make a huge difference for all of us who live, work, and travel through this area!
