What a fantastic Saturday at Avery Ranch Golf Club for the annual Gavin’s Gift of Grace Golf Tournament on April 26, 2025! This annual event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for this incredible non-profit, and it was an unforgettable day filled with sunshine, smiles, and lots of heart. |
Gavin’s Gift of Grace holds a special place in my heart. It was created in memory of sweet Gavin Gouldie, who tragically passed away on May 17, 2018. His amazing parents, Adam and Amy Gouldie, along with their loving family, turned their grief into a mission: to bring comfort to others facing the unimaginable loss of a child. Through Gavin’s Gift of Grace, they provide personalized care packages and support tailored to each family’s unique journey through grief. Their faith and strength continue to inspire everyone they touch, including the team at Dell Children’s Hospital, who recently reached out for partnership opportunities with their new hospice division.
I’m honored to volunteer each year—and this year was a blast! I helped with golfer check-in (the new electronic system made everything smooth and easy!) and then spent the afternoon cruising the course in a golf cart, handing out snack treats to golfers.

Let’s just say it was hard to tell who was having more fun, us or the players! The event also featured a raffle for a brand-new golf cart and a treasure trove of fantastic auction items. Fingers crossed they top last year’s fundraising total because every dollar helps them continue their beautiful mission. |
Nothing beats a day of golf, giving, and good ol’ Texas BBQ to wrap things up! So grateful to be a small part of something making such a big difference. I’m already looking forward to next year!
