Diwali, also known as Dipawali, stands as India’s grandest and most significant festival, celebrated by millions around the world. The name “Diwali” is derived from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that illuminate homes, symbolizing the inner light that shields us from spiritual darkness.
This festival holds deep cultural and spiritual significance, embodying the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. The lights of Diwali serve as a powerful metaphor, urging us to eliminate dark desires and thoughts, dispel shadows and evils, and instill the strength and enthusiasm to carry forward goodwill throughout the year.

The festivities will take place from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Spicewood Springs Elementary cafeteria, promising an evening of joy, camaraderie, and cultural richness.
