It’s March, 2023 and it’s time for the SXSW Festival! That means there are big things happening in ATX!! Some people can’t wait each year and others grumble about the noise and traffic but either way you best be prepared because Austin will be hopping! 

If you don’t know it’s actually several festivals all wrapped into one! It’s a conference, plus a comedy, film and musical festival! Its soooo much fun and you won’t want to miss out! If it’s not your thing than a gentle warning to avoid downtown.

This year SXSW blasts off on Friday March 10th-Sunday, March 19th. It disrupts Austin because there are hundreds of thousands who some to Austin for SXSW (hope you have your airline tickets purchased and rooms booked). In 2022 there were more than 278,000 attendees! 

The economic impact on the city is substantial, ranging between $218 million-$355 million per year over the last decade.
