What a wonderful surprise today when I ran into our local HEB grocery to pick up some things. I wanted to make sure I bought blue berries so I can make blue berry muffins for Handsome Hudson and Beautiful Beckett (shhhhh..it’s a surprise). As usual HEB supports all things Texas.
As I was checking out I was given a free reusable shopping bag with a wonderful design by Texas artist, Julia Rojas who grew up in McAllen, Texas and earned a degree in Graphic Design from the University of Texas-Pan American. She began her career with HEB 11 years ago and currently puts her creativity to work every day as a Bakery lead in San Antonio (I’m hoping she finds time to enter some of her designs on social media..right now it appears she’s too busy).
Not all cities are carrying her bags but I love the one she designed that I received in Austin! She showcases the unique flora and fauna essential to Texas, promoting the importance of plant and wildlife conservation.
HEB and a variety of HEB’s community partners work tirelessly, across the State of Texas to care for the environment in the hope of providing a better today and a brighter tomorrow. Thank you HEB!
