Home sales for Canyon Creek are in for August 2019. The real estate summer market slowed in August as families turned their attention to getting students ready to go back to school and kids off to college. It happens every year, not many sellers have time to think straight until after Labor Day!

Buyers need housing and are anxious to take advantage of the current low interest rates but are resisting escalating prices. Sellers you have time to be ready to hit the market but need to be realistic about your list price and be able to justify with solid comparable sold sales.

Homes Sales in August 2019

As of August 31, 2019, only 3 homes closed, down 77% from August 2018 which is significant!! The 3 sold properties were down 3% in square footage. Many buyers closed on homes in July trying to get settled before school started in August. The days on market in August were up 62% and home prices were the same as in August 2018. Is the market cooling from the fast pace of the spring market? If so, is it due seller’s “imagination” pricing?
