There’s a new kid in the hood at the Arboretum at Great Hills shopping center and its right close to my office! Its a wonderful spot to meet friends, colleagues and family for a bite to eat. If you love cheese like I do you’re going to enjoy this wonderful addition to to our shops and other restaurants. It’s quaint and quiet. After shopping at Z Gallery, the Pottery Barn or Avant Garde Jewelers maybe a break is needed for a little nourishment!!

Austin Cheese Company loves everything about cheese. They care about the details, like how it is produced and where it came from. They care so much that they’ve created a tasting room where their customers can share in the experience. Their sandwich menu is available to eat there, or take out and enjoy at home, or, on a blanket watching the ducks in the beautiful pond onsite here at the Arboretum.
A sampling of their menu….a Bacon and Brie sandwich: warm and creamy brie paired with crispy thick cut bacon with caramelized onions and blackberry chia preserves served on a warm ciabatta roll…the Artisan Italian sandwich: thinly sliced porchetta and capri salami, topped with thin sliced red onion, peppery arugula with fresh squeezed lemon vinaigrette, shaved Asiago cheese and roasted garlic aioli on a crusty baguette…and a Smoked Salmon sandwich with thinly sliced Scottish smoked salmon layered on a fresh baguette topped with thinly sliced red onion, flash fried capers, fresh cucumber, arugula and a spread of dill chevre. And, to make the sandwich taste even better, yes beer & wine is available for purchase.

Beer & wine and is available during the tasting and afterwards they open the cheese counter where as they say “you can adopt any cheese you would like”.
