I understand the meaning of the word Weltanschauung but know I’m also still butchering the pronunciation! Whether it’s pronounced right or not it’s the meaning that’s important: “The guiding principles and philosophy of an organization; a world view.” The 10 components need to be revisited and re-examined each year or even more often to keep us directed on the path Active Rain was intended as we can’t count on Management to steer the ship. Management is not “All in” right now. Certainly not like Clemson was for the National College Football Championship game. Changes have been made in ownership and it seems other ventures take top billing right now.
# 10 of the 10 elements still speaks to me loudly:
#10. Active Rain believes that it is in the best interests of real estate professionals to build a community that is focused on educating one another.
Active Rain members openly and gladly share their experiences and best practices. Real estate is local but all agents and related professionals, no matter where they live or what company they are associated with, all have one thing in common: to help clients through the process of buying or selling so they can realize their dream of home-ownership. I’ve learned more from members on Active Rain than anywhere else throughout my real estate career. I was talking about blogging at the round table of top producers yesterday which I was participating in and many had not heard of Active Rain.
Everyone “does the work” differently. There is no right or wrong way. We all learn from each other and have something to bring to the table. Everyone’s voice and opinion matters, there is a common thread….put your clients first and do what’s right.
2019 brings a set of new opportunities and challenges. We all need to rely on different perspectives to give us a fresh outlook on how to handle what is coming at us. Best business practices are always worth investigating and implementing in a world of change.
Communicating and sharing information in our Active Rain community is the corner stone for Active Rain members. It’s how we all continue to grow and make lasting friendships. There is a wealth of knowledge to absorb and share!
