Only the best ingredients are used to make these delicious bagels. The dough is shipped from NYC made by dough specialists that have been making it perfectly for over 100 years. Add in some local ingredients then bake the bagels to perfection and you will taste a bagel that may change your life forever. Owner Chris Cunningham is a Long Island native where you can eat bagels any time of the day. Co-owner Ali White is from Pennsylvania and is also a bagel lover. They wanted to create that same experience of biting into an authentic NYC bagel that is hard on the outside and soft on the inside here in their new home in Austin, TX. The restaurant is named for their King Charles Cavalier named Charlie, a happy, nervous puppy they love dearly.
A sampling of their menu…From the breakfast menu there’s The Classic with bacon or Taylor Ham, egg and American cheese…Bagel with Lox – with Acme lox, scallion cream cheese, red onions and capers…and the Longhorn with Taylor Ham, 2 fried eggs, breakfast potatoes, cheddar cheese and Charlie’s hot sauce. On the lunch menu there’s The Big Apple with turkey, sliced apple, brie cheese and honey mustard…The Cobb with grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, romaine and blue cheese…and Willie’s Hot Pastrami with pastrami and spicy mustard.
