Chisos Grill ~ "Foodie" Friday 10/12/18

The second week-end of ACL is under way in Austin. If you’ve had enough and are looking for something else (maybe a little more quiet and relaxing) to do and in the mood for a short hop, skip and jump this weekend, head out to our beautiful Hill Country and stop at this southwestern style grill located in the Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave, TX. You’ll love it!

Co-owners Chad & Lily Jones love the beautiful and magnificent landscape of the Big Bend region of TX and the mountains of northern New Mexico.  At Chisos Grill, they have incorporated that Southwestern style into their menus. They offer only natural meats containing no antibiotics, hormones or preservatives.  Most of their seafood comes from either the Texas Gulf Coast or are farm-raised here in Texas. They believe local sourcing leads to fresher, higher quality food served in their restaurant.  It also affirms their commitment to support local farmers and food providers. Even in their Ghost Bar, their beers, wines and spirits are all from the state of Texas. The dining space is warm and inviting and perfect for just about any occasion.

 

Here is a sampling of their menu:  on the Appetizer menu there’s the Chisos Sampler with salsa, guacamole and pulled pork questo…Presidio Tostadas with pulled pork, apple bacon slaw & chipotle aioli…and Truffle Fries with cotija cheese, bacon, green onion, cracked black pepper & white truffle aioli.  On the Burgers & Sandwiches menu there’s the Free Range Bison Chili Burger with Akaushi beef, bison chili, cheddar, candied jalapeños, fried shallots & chiptle aioli….the Chicken Poblano Ranch Sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pepperjack, bacon, fire-roasted poblanos & green chile ranch.  On the Specialty Entree menu there’s Tortilla-Crusted Salmon with jalapeño cream sauce, avocado, black beans, corn & pico…Jalalpeño Texas Redfish with jalapeño cream sauce, lump crab, grit cake & jalapeño hollandaise…and Fire Roasted Jalapeño Tenderloin – 7 ounce Certified Angus Beef, lump crab, jalapeño cream sauce & jalapeño hollandaise.
