Sales Tax Holiday Weekend Austin – August 10 -12, 2018
Are you ready to shop for back-to-school supplies and clothing? It’s that time of year again and Texas is participating in another year of Sales Tax Holiday week-end specials! Mark your calendars and take advantage of the Sales Tax Week-end Friday, August 10th – through midnight Sunday, August 12th!
The holiday sales tax exemption applies to only qualifying items you buy during the sales tax holiday. Items purchased before or after do not qualify and there is no tax refund available.

Most schools in Austin and the surrounding area starts August 16 therefore many shoppers will be looking to find bargains. The exemption applies to each eligible item that sells for less than $100, regardless of how many items are sold on the same invoice. There is no limit to the number of qualifying items you can purchase. You do not have to purchase items individually to get the exemption. If you have 6 shirts priced at $50 they will all receive the exemption.

- You don’t have to deal with the crowds, shop from the comfort of your home or office with online/catalog sellers doing business in Texas.
- Don’t buy if you don’t really need items.
