July 4th falls in the middle of the week this year so no long week-end! That doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of places to go to celebrate July 4th in Austin, TX! Grab your friends, family and mix and mingle with other Austinitites! Check out these 6 places to celebrate in Austin:
1. The HEB Austin Sympathy 41st Annual July 4th Concert and Fireworks. Claim your grassy spot at Vic Mathis Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores) for the largest celebration in the state! Its free, starts at 8:30 pm followed by “mile-high” fireworks at 9:30 pm. Don’t forget to wear your red, white and blue!
2.Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic at Circuit of the Americas. Tickets are still for sale and doors open at 11:00 am for this yearly July 4th celebration!
3. Round Rock Sertoma and Frontier Day! Events kick off at 10 am in historic downtown with a one and half mile route with giant inflatable and marching bands beginning at Mays Crossing concluding at Sunset Drive. Then onto the Settler’s Park at noon for Frontier Day!
4. Hill Country Galleria July 4th Celebration! Enjoy sidewalk shopping, dining, live music, face painting, games for the kids and live music and fireworks. Begins at 4 pm!
5. At the Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co (ABGB) at noon start a holiday afternoon, beer, pizza, bikes, music and fireworks!
6. 4th of July Parade and Celebration. The Parade starts at 10 am Discovery Blvd. by the HEB Center and ending at Cedar Park Recreation Center. The celebration begins at the Elizabeth Milburn Park from 5pm- 10:30 pm. Enjoy live music, food, carnival rides, washer tournament and fireworks!
