The number of home sales in the Second Quarter increased by 11.5% compared to Second Quarter of 2017. The average sold price decreased 2.8%, and the average square footage price increased by 1.7%. It stands to reason smaller homes sold for slightly more price per square foot and less sold price which is usually the case.
Current inventory is staying on the market longer as buyers resist continued increase in prices. Sellers, it’s important to be realistic about your pricing and understand you have to travel farther to meet the expectations of the buyers!
