This week-end I’ve got a treat for you to experience for breakfast or lunch! This casual daytime restaurant opened a couple of weeks ago after much anticipation and appears to be a major hit already! Austinites love their biscuits and I’m betting you are going to love what they have to offer!

Owners Ryan McElroy and Brian Batch dreamt of owning a breakfast and lunch restaurant that would delight Austinites. They love biscuits and wanted their restaurant to focus on that. But, not just any biscuit, one that would hold up to sandwiches without falling apart.
After about 2.5 years, their biscuit was perfected and they were on their way. As they put it, “it holds together so it can be eaten as the Lord of Sandwich intended – with your hands.” The look of the restaurant is pure Austin with a light blue stain on the concrete floor with light woods and walls, white countertops and pops of yellow in the chairs and the lighting.
As for the menu, it’s simple and delicious, and they are open for breakfast and lunch Tuesday – Sunday. Here is a sampling of their menu: There’s the Bird Bird Bacon with crispy bacon, organic egg over medium with cheddar and bacon infused chipotle mayo….the Lovely Day – a house made chicken sausage with organic egg over medium along with cheddar & pecan basil pesto…the Childhood with roasted peanut butter, milk chocolate chips, banana and honey…the Queen Beak – a spiced and breaded chicken thigh, cayenne black pepper honey and bacon infused chipotle mayo. One the Specialties menu there’s Biscuit and Gravy with house made vegetarian gravy (bacon/chicken sausage can be added) and Dough-Doughs – biscuit doughnut holes tossed in cinnamon sugar.
