Botticelli’s ~ "Foodie" Friday 6/1/18

It’s hard to believe its the first of June! Its going to be summer temperatures all week-end so something cool and on the lighter side might be what your thinking for your dining pleasure. If you’re in the South Congress area of Austin this weekend, stop into this downtown Beer Garden to grab a bite and chill for a bit.

Botticelli’s is known for being a fun and tasty Italian Restaurant.  They combine old family recipes with new and inventive ones creating delicious Italian food.  There’s an intimate Italian Trattoria inside and if you want to dine outside, there’s a wonderful beer garden in the back (full menu available both seating areas). If you’re there Thursday thru Saturday, you’ll enjoy live, local music along with your meal!  There is a fantastic wine list available at Botticelli’s that has been hand selected by the owners and the staff to accompany your meal. Don’t hesitate to ask your server for pairing recommendations with your meal!

 

If you’re there in time for Brunch – on the menu you’ll find Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with strawberries, mint and lemon zest…Frangelico Baguette French Toast – with Frangelico butter, strawberries and Frangelico maple syrup…and the Botticelli Montecristo Samy – a Frangelico cornflake crusted french toast sandwich with swiss cheese, scrambled eggs, honey ham, strawberries and Frangelico maple syrup.  On the Appetizer menu there’s Botticelli Bread – grandmother’s own homemade bread stuffed with prosciutto, rosemary ham, salami, mozzarella, parmesan and roasted bell peppers…Cozze a Vapore – Fresh Prince Edward Island mussels steamed with brown butter, capers and lemon topped with bread crumbs. The Entree menu has Ravioli di Zucca Gialla – house-made raviolis filled with roasted butternut squash served in a brown butter and sage sauce topped with parmesan and chili flakes…Anatra due Maniere – seared duck breast over duck confit pan fried ravioli dressed in a black pepper fig sauce garnished with fresh mint…and Costolette d’Agnello – garlic molasses marinated lamb chops served with herb roasted new potatoes, sautéed green beans and a goat cheese panna cotta.
