Damian Mandola has another winner with the opening of his 5th Mandola’s Italian Kitchen in Cedar Park. What is so unique about Mandola’s is that it is also an Italian Market. You can walk into any Mandola’s Italian Kitchen and not only have a delicious meal, but, purchase all kinds of wonderful Italian foods from their authentic Italian grocery, bakery or the deli section filled with delicious Italian meats and cheeses.
Dining in you will find on their pasta menu: Fedelini Pachino – thin spaghetti with cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil and extra virgin olive oil…Tortellini Modo Mio – classic pasta stuffed with chicken, pork, mortadella, proscuitto, ricotta and parmigiano in a cream sauce with mushrooms and peas.
On the daily specialties menu: Monday – Chicken Capricciosa- breaded, pan browned breast of chicken topped with a salad of arugula, cherry tomatoes, red onions & fresh mozzareella tossed in a balsamic vinegar served with fettucine in a tomato cream sauce…Sunday is pasta day in an Italian family, so on their Sunday menu you’ll find Baked Ziti – maccheroni in a sausage ragu with mushrooms, bechamel sauce, romano & mozzarella cheese baked in a casserole.
For dessert, choose something from the Italian cookie section: Giandujia (a sandwich cookie), Lemon Ricotta cookie or maybe a Cudidati (Sicilian fig cookie). There is also a delicious selection of pastry, gelatos and sorbets.
