Easter is over and I’m ready for some Margaritas and some good Tex-Mex! How about you? If you are then you need to find time over the week-end to try a restaurant that has become a downtown staple in our neighboring town of Georgetown. It’s a hop, skip and a jump from NW Austin.

Dos Salsas has been a family owned and operated Tex-Mex restaurant in Georgetown since 1999. Owned by the Plata family, they have a tradition of combining delicious food with excellent service creating the kind of family atmosphere diners want. The food is prepared and served fresh every day with top ingredients and a secret spice or two from owner Memo Plata. When dining at Dos Salsas you can rest assured you will have the best experience a restaurant can provide.
On the menu you’ll find for appetizers: Gringo’s Dip with refried beans, ground beef, guacamole, sour cream & pico de gallo topped with monterery jack cheese. For your entreé you have many choices….Steak a la Mexicana with a 10oz ribeye grilled and topped with sautéed onions, tomatoes & jalapéno peppers served with a chicken enchilada topped with chipotle sauce. There’s also Pechuga a la Crema – a grilled chicken breast topped with a sour cream sauce, mushrooms & pablano peppers. If you’re craving shrimp how about Camarones al Mojo de Ajo – 6 jumbo grilled shrimp cooked with garlic butter, special seasonings & fresh lime juice served with a guacamole salad. Finish off the evening with a delicious dessert – some of your choices: turtle cheesecake, sopapillas and dulce de leches.
