The 15th annual Canyon Creek HOA Spring Egg Hunt experienced an “eggcellent” turnout, Saturday, March 24th! Plastic eggs were plentiful thanks to residents dropping off eggs at my house prior to the egg hunt! The Canyon Creek Park on the grassy knoll in front of the Canyon Creek Pool sported 3 large areas defined by purple, yellow and blue lines! I had the best volunteers this year who helped outlined the boundaries, spread the eggs in the respective fields and contain the anxious kiddos from running on the fields until their turn!
Ju Ruiz, our Easter Bunny, was on tap for a fun photo op with something fuzzy and fun to hand out to each child! John Parker and his daughter Lillian from Austin Baptist Church were on hand to keep us all on track by playing music and letting the kids know when it was their groups turn to start hunting eggs. John is our favorite Emcee….. He keeps our event moving!!!
We had a winner with a very close guess of the number of Jelly Beans in the jar! Guessing right must run in the family, the winner’s dad won last year!
It takes a village of volunteers to make an event like this run smoothly! I greatly appreciated the help. A few hours of helping made a big difference in our event..…thank you!
