Executive Chef Patrick Newman restaurant is designed after an authentic London club and showcases locally sourced seasonal dishes from Texas farmers and fishermen. It’s Bee Cave’s hottest upscale rooftop lounge and small plate eatery. The venue is a cozy space that with quarter sawn oak interiors and leather furnishings with a full bar, multiple indoor seating arrangements and a wonderful rooftop terrace that delivers great views of the neighboring Texas Hill Country.
Meridian 98 serves a buffet style breakfast daily and has a tapas style menu available in the evenings. Chef Newman grew up knowing that what mattered was the love and care that went into the harvesting of the food, and the time spent with family and friends enjoying the food. He feels that each meal is meant to be appreciated with your eyes first; and that’s why he believes that food is art and encourage delicious culinary and craft cocktail creations reflecting his Southern roots.
Here’s a sampling of what you’ll find on his winter/fall menu…from the Appetizer menu there’s Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Dates with smoked salt caramel and Tonga Coconut Shrimp with a sweet chili mango sauce. On the Shared menu there’s Risotto Ballz with red wine risotto/bleu cheese/ basil pesto and shaved manchego…or try some Crispy Calamari with lemon aioli and agridulce. On the Sliders menu there’s a Pork Belly Slider made with crispy pork/slaw and dynamite sauce served with sweet potato fries…or the Philly Slider with roast beef/provolone cheese/peppers & mushrooms served with Au Jus and shoestring fries…or try an Ahi Tuna Slider with heirloom tomato and arugula served with dynamite sauce and sweet potato fries.
