Thank you, Lynn B. Friedman, for pulling together this 2018 Blog Jumpstart Challenge ~ Fun Leading to Future Benefit for You! I like the Mini, Midi and Maxi level challenges offered to fit different levels of involvement for Active Rain members.
I’m familiar with the word Weltanschauung because of past challenges! My pronunciation of the word I’m sure isn’t correct but I like its meaning: “The guiding principles and philosophy of an organization; a world view.” I believe the 10 components need to be revisited and re-examined each year or even more often to keep us directed on the path Active Rain was intended. I’m not sure management is “in” right now. They seem to be preoccupied with other ventures.
# 10 of the 10 elements speaks to me loudly:
#10. Active Rain believes that it is in the best interests of real estate professionals to build a community that is focused on educating one another.
Real estate is local but all agents and related professionals, no matter where they live or what company they are associated with, all have one thing in common: to help clients through the process of buying or selling so they can realize their dream of home-ownership.
The question is how can you “do the work” the most efficiently, with the proper amount of empathy, marketing like you mean it, yet retaining your own personal life and being your own person. Serena Jones in her recent post said it best; “Success is not what you wear, how you act, how you speak…success is from within.”
Active Rain members open and gladly share their experiences and best practices. Why? We all learn from each other. We all have something to bring to the table and everyone’s voice and opinion matters. There is no one way to conduct business but there is a common thread….put your clients first and do what’s right. Often different perspectives help us with a fresh outlook on how to handle a situation…best business practices are always worth investigating and implementing.
I learn so much from posts written by our Active Rain members. I often feel like I’m taking a mini course each day as I read through posts. The contributions from lenders as well as Insurance agents, stagers, flooring companies, coaches, etc. are enlightening and offer valuable information which I frequently share with clients.
Each year brings with it new opportunities and challenges. Communicating and sharing information is the corner stone for Active Rain members. It’s how we all continue to grow. The only constant is change. If we actively participate in our Active Rain community there is a wealth of knowledge to absorb and share! As importantly there are many friendships to be made
