Dan Balderas started his restaurant career at the age of 14 as a dishwasher. From there opening Pacific Gulf Sea Island and became a restaurant owner and as he says “it’s been a good ride!” The restaurant is bright, clean and the service is great. If you’re looking for good homestyle Cajun food, this is the place for delicious sausage gumbo, amazing fried pickles, fried okra and the Po Boy sandwiches come highly recommended! If you’re hungry for breakfast food and it’s 2 o’clock in the afternoon – no problem. Breakfast is served all day!
Here is a sampling of their menu … Breakfast plates – Chorizo Beans & Egg Plate with hash browns… Biscuits with Country Gravy & 2 eggs, meat and potatoes…Porkchop and Egg with fried potatoes & refried beans. From their Specialty Menu – Blackened Catfish served over Spanish rice with stir-fried veggies & Texas toast…Seafood Platter with 2 fish, 3 shrimp, 3 oysters, French fries, salad and Texas toast…Pan Seared Salmon with mashed potatoes, stir-fried veggies and Texas toast. The chicken wings and the homemade mac & cheese are great and also come highly recommended! The food is always hot, fresh, made to order and you’ll be greeted with a smile every time!
