It’s Monday September 11, 2017…hard to believe its been 16 years since the twin towers in N.Y. City came tumbling down and our lives in the USA was changed forever. I remember when Geno called me on my way to an appointment to tell me the news. It was devastating. I will never forgot the heroism of so many and the suffering for so many families!
It’s been a busy week-end getting back in the groove after being gone for 2 weeks. I met with some sellers who will be coming on this week along with some past clients who will be listing and going to market the first of October. Date night with Geno was exceptional and daughter, Melissa and I had a fantastic open house on my new listing..life is good! Grab a cup of your favorite brew and join me for some tech support humor to start your week.
Once a month one of the support mentors listens in on support calls, to ensure that the techs are following protocol. This agent was being listened to one day…
Tech support: “Welcome to Tech Support, you’re talking to ****”
Customer: “Hi, my name is ****, and I work at **** bank. You’ve really gotta help me! I’ve got this message on my computer, and I don’t know what to do!”
Tech support: “Okay, if you could start by reading the message to me, I’ll see what we can do.”
Customer: “Oh, okay…it says: ‘Your computer has been automatically adjusted for daylight savings time.’ What do I do?!”
Tech support: “Er…is there a button that says ‘OK’?”
Customer: “Yes.”
Tech support: “Can you tell me what happens when you click the ‘OK’ button?”
Customer: “Oh, thank you very much! You’re a life saver! Thank you, thank you; now I can finally get these reports done!” *hangs up*
Tech support: “…you’re welcome?”
Mentor: *after listening in* “You know what the scary part is? That is my contact at the bank… the same person I entrust my life savings to.”
