Founder Drew Gressett started the Hat Creek Burger Co. in 2008 in a food trailer where he served delicious burgers, fries and shakes. Here in Austin, we love our food trucks! After serving a lot of burgers from their trailer, the Hat Creek Co. decided it was time and moved into their first restaurant. As they grew, they were also growing in concept. Having had 2 children, Drew’s focus on quality and serving the whole family went to the next level. Not only did their top priority become friendly and helpful service (second to food quality), he added play yards for the kids and and the fast casual family friendly burger patio was born. The mission of the Hat Creek Burger Company is to provide fellowship and fresh burgers to everyone that comes in contact with his restaurant. Hat Creek has now opened a location in the Domain Northside at Rock Rose. They are known for their Angus beef burgers, hand cut fries, homemade pickles and creative shakes. There are fan favorites like the Tuesday Night Family Night and $1 beer Thursdays. The love extends beyond the restaurant with its community giving program. Hat Creek partners with Mobile Loaves and Fishes to provide hot meals to the less fortunate in our town. Every day they make 100 cheeseburgers and teams of four or five load the Mobile Loaves & Fishes truck at our Burnet road store with burgers and other food items and head to areas of Austin where families and individuals are in need of a hot meal.
