Granddaughter Hailey is on her journey on Semester at Sea and one breathtaking stop was Bagan an ancient city in central Myanmar (formerly Burma), southwest of Mandalay. Early morning is the time to get a birds-eye view of the breathtaking sights of the signature Buddhist temples, monasteries and pagodas that decorate the region. Hailey and classmates enjoyed the tranquil ambience of the early morning (Hailey is the blond in the middle).
