The SXSW visitors are gone, the rodeo is over, spring break is behind us and we are trying to settle down to some normalcy. Why not think Italian for dining out this week-end? Experience this colorful Italian neighborhood grill that offers a comfy dining atmosphere while serving you the finest pastas, seafood and steaks.
ROCCO’S GRILL http://roccosgrill.com
Owners, Rockey and Linda Piazza select only the finest ingredients for their menu and it’s accompanied by 5 star service. There’s a raw bar offering freshly shucked Gulf and East Coast oysters, and the outdoor areas are the perfect spots to enjoy live entertainment while you dine under 200 year old Live Oak trees.
Their daily made bread, the fresh herbs, fine wines and rich olive oils complement the Italian influenced main dishes they serve.
The Piazza family has been in the restaurant and wholesale seafood industry since the late 1800’s and that rich family history goes into every aspect of your dining experience at Rocco’s Grill.
A sampling of their menu: from the Small Plates menu – there’s Bella Baci-mesquite grilled bacon wrapped shrimp in pickled jalapeno with monterrey jack cheese…and Seared Sesame Crusted Sashimi Tuna – pan seared fresh ahi tuna encrusted in sesame. The Raw Bar offers Chilled Seafood with East Coast oysters, crab claws and boiled shrimp. Craving pasta? On that menu you’ll find Bella Ravioli stuffed with lobster and ricotta in a rosé cream sauce. The fish menu offers Salmon Alessondra-grilled salmon topped with lump crab, capers and basil lemon butter served with parmesan risotto and seasonal vegetables; or you could try the Shrimp Piazza-lightly fried shrimp and topped with Pernod and basil butter or cilantro cream.
From Rocco’s Feature menu you could try the Lamb Rack served chop style with basil lemon butter and orange mint sauce or the Veal Marsala – thin slices of veal, sautéed and topped with their homemade mushroom Marsala sauce served with Fettucine Alfredo.
Top off whatever you choose with a Triple Chocolate Brownie made with Ghirardelli chocolate, pecans and served with chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce or how about a slice of New York Cheesecake topped with raspberry sauce? It’s easy to see why Rocco’s has become a neighborhood favorite.
