Our granddaughter Hailey Stout is currently enrolled in the Semester at Sea program and even though her Wi-Fi time is limited she has done a great job of staying connected! She stated “I’ve had such a great experience. Throughout my voyage so far I’ve been to Japan, Vietnam and China. I’ve learned how to appropriately interact and thrive in all the different environments. Learning new languages and understanding the different currencies have been huge lessons in themselves. It’s really made me step out of my comfort zone and push myself to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.”
She was in Agra India visiting the Taj Mahal and Humayun’s Tomb and left Varanasi City on the Ganges River traveling to Mauritius. Newsflash in… due to the typhoon they will be heading on to South Africa skipping Mauritius! She posted this photo on Facebook “I love India.”
Hailey’s Semester at Sea is a great learning experience and eye opening to the different styles of living in our world. The global economy just got real for Hailey and the other 599 students traveling on this exciting program.
