My Three Trusted Brands

I had to put my thinking cap on to come up with three brands I trust after reading Ron and Alexandra Seigel‘s brand loyalty contest. Loving and trusting you would think be synonyms but there is a difference. When it comes to trusted brands..trust comes from faith and confidence the company stands behind their product 100%. Delivery and customer service is their focus and everything about them sends the same message: “it’s all about the customer.”

My first brand I trust is General Electric. My dad worked for 38 years for GE in Schecnectady N.Y. and was loyal and took his work seriously (Don’t you love his pin he wore every day to work to gain entrance..security has come a long way! LOL!). In turn they treated him fairly, honestly and even when he was gravely ill made sure he knew how much they appreciated him and his value to the company. We grew up with GE appliances and to this day have GE profile appliances in our home. GE stands for quality and sustainability in the market place. GE is now an American multinational conglomerate corporation and undergoing a revamping of its image of “We bring Good Things to Life” to “Imagination at work”. I’m not sure this isn’t taking away from the core value of bringing meaningful things to others but they need ta face lift. I like their tag line “We’re changing the world one idea at a time” and think they should expand on that theme.

My second trust brand is Lexus. I’ve now experienced the “Lexus Experience” 5 times. It’s comforting to know that Lexus believes their customers are as special as their cars. My first Lexus purchase was one I’ll never forget from the test driving, signing, introduction to operating my model, assignment to my service manager, to the handing over of my keys! 4 times later I can say I receive the same exact care and attention to detail. I love my Lexus 460! When my car needs servicing my manger makes sure I have another Lexus to drive for the day. While waiting for my car for the day the Barista Bar is open for all kinds of temptations and connecting to wyfi is also free…..it’s all part of Lexus going the extra mile to make me feel special and valued as a customer. I always recommend Lexus if you’re looking for quality and superior service long after a purchase.

My third trust brand is David Weekley Homes. David Weekley Homes began in 1976 in Houston, Texas and unbelievably has grown to become the largest privately-held home builder in America, operating in 22 markets across the nation. I’ve had the pleasure to personally meet David Weekley and sold countless numbers of his homes throughout the Austin area. We proudly live in one of his exceptional single homes. Their purpose is to build dreams and enhance consumer’s lives by making a positive impact on the lives they touch in the communities they build. I’m working with 2 different clients this month purchasing David Weekley Homes (one constructing a new home and the other closing on a completed plan). The sales counselor is building a home in the community and brings vibrancy and passion to my clients “experience” of purchasing their David Weekley home. I believe their commitment to focusing on the client (very important ) sets them apart as a company, an employer and as a neighbor.

I discovered through writing this post the same theme transcended through my three choices. It’s all about the “experience” created for the customer so they feel special and valued. The message is loud and clear “it’s all about the customer and accountability for a quality product and service.” I too like to create the “experience” because it’s what my clients remember and why they want to utilize my services again and again and refer me to their family and friends.
