Mark your calendars for the Annual Canyon Creek Elementary Multi-Cultural Affair held at the school Friday, February 3rd, 2017 from 5-8 pm. This is an event you won’t want to miss as it showcases the cultural diversity of the school through the numerous booths plus cultural performances.
There will be 19 cultural booths (opens at 5 pm) and 15 performances (beginning at 6:15)
featuring the talented children of CCE!
Cultures represented in this year’s extravaganza is: India, China, Korea, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Sweden, USA, Canada, Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Australia, Ghana, Spain, France, Bolivia, Lithuania
Dinner is catered by RRISD and will begin serving at 5:30 pm. Guests will enjoy dining on jerk chicken, vegetable samosas, ravioli and tres leches.
Passports are printed out for the kids to take to each booth. When they complete the activity at the booth they will receive a stamp on their passport. A fully stamped passport will receive a prize!
With an event this size and scope many volunteers are needed to have a successful event. If you are high school and middle students and want to receive some community service hours this is the perfect event to sign up for.
