Owner and head chef of Milano Trattoria, John Braga, was born in Brazil and raised in Italy. His passion for authentic Italian food started at a very young age watching his mother cook. Eventually he moved to NJ, working his way to sous-chef at some of the finest NJ and NY restaurants. He has cooked for such celebrities as Lady Bird Johnson, Frank Sinatra, John Travolta, the Dallas Cowboys football team and many other notables! Chef John focuses on fresh and simple dishes made from scratch every day. They pride themselves on letting the natural flavors of the ingredients they use speak for themselves!
A sample of what you will find on the menu: For an appetizer you could try the Aranchini – fried rice ball stuffed with ground beef, mozzarella and green peas served with tomato basil sauce…or the Eggplant Rolatine – stuffed with mixed cheeses and baked with tomato sauce and mozzarella. For an entrée try the Fettuccine Carbonara – fettucine tossed in a traditional alfredo sauce with pancetta and caramelized onions. You might also like the Chicken Marsala – chicken breast sautéed with mushrooms in Marsala wine sauce served with linguine. From the Chef Specialties menu try the Tortellini Piemontese – cheese tortellini with shrimp, dried cranberries, toasted walnuts, raisin and capers in a pesto cream sauce served with fresh strawberries. A delicious, relaxed evening is yours no matter what you choose!
