Annual Canyon Creek Holiday Tree Lighting

This would have been the 5th year for our Holiday Tree Lighting event in Canyon Creek! The sleigh is up and our holiday tree has grown so much, this year lights were put up professionally.

Signs were all up announcing the Canyon Creek Tree lighting for this past Saturday, December 3rd from 4-8 pm! At noon on Saturday the call was made to cancel the event due to heavy rains and chilling temperatures. The show couldn’t go on. The animals couldn’t come, Mr. and Mrs. Santa and the horses couldn’t come and the DJ with the sound equipment could not bring his gear and have it get wet. Unfortunately everyone is booked these next few weeks before Christmas therefore no rain date is scheduled.

Looks like we will all have to wait next year for our 6th annual event! When you go by the Canyon Creek Park be sure to catch the tree twinkling brightly so don’t hesitate to stop and have your photo taken by the sleigh.

We will miss this year’s event as we always like an excuse to gather with neighbors, family and friends but the spirit is still alive! Happy Holidays!
