This photo was taken in 2012 of our blended family and since so many things have transpired. Our littlest granddaughter Beautiful Beckett was born and we lost Gene’s son Jeff to Diabetics. Hailey is now a junior in college, Jeffery graduated from High School and Trey is a senior this year. It’s hard to believe how quickly time flies by. Handsome Hudson is now four+.
Every day I give thanks for our wonderful blended family. I only wish my mom and dad were still here to be a part of the dynamics of the family we enjoy. I am thankful for moms encouragement and work ethic she displayed. Her recipes live on as our favorites : French bread, Apple Pie, Oatmeal raisin cookies etc.
Pope Paul VI says it best: “Every mother is like Moses. She does not enter the Promised Land. She prepares a world she will not see.”
