City of Austin‘s goal to be the best managed city in the country is on its way to being met! Austin is utilizing an award winning program to access all City services and information in an easy uncomplicated format. Residents can call 3-1-1 for immediate access from ambassadors on more than 200 City Services and approximately 400 programs offered across the city.
How cool is this? Residents are able to report concerns including overgrown vegetation, streetlights, potholes, loose dogs and non-emergency issues. Residents can down load the Austin 3-1-1 mobile app from Google Play or the Apple App store. The app features more than 25 requests types and allows users to attach pictures and use exact locations to better report information directly to City Departments.
It’s amazing to find out that Austin 3-1-1 receives more than 1 million calls per year and creates more than 240,000 service requests for City Departments!
