Happy Columbus day! It’s been quite a week-end! My daughter-in-law ran in the Chicago Marathon and my son and Handsome Hudson flew up to cheer her on. PawPaw and I baby-sat Beautiful Beckett and had visits to the park, Starbucks for juice and cookies, shopping for a new dolly and lots of hide and go seek and fun! While napping Sunday afternoon PawPaw babysat while I showed 2 homes. I’ll be leaving shortly to drop her off at Montessori school….it’s hard to believe the week-end went by so fast! A customer calls in to get help with a cash register that doesn’t connect to the back office computer..
Tech Support: “So, can you tell me the settings of the DIP switches on the cash register?”
Customer: “DIP switch?”
Tech Support: “Oh, sorry, the small switches located on the backside.”
Customer: “Eeeerrr…there are no switches there.”
Tech Support: “Oh, yes, there are. Right next to the power cord.”
Customer: “No. There are no switches. Not any more!”
Tech Support: *puzzled* “Huh? Not any more? What do you mean?”
Customer: “Well, you know, my colleague told me that these switches might actually be what caused the problem, so I removed them.”
Tech Support: “REMOVED THEM??”
Customer: “Yeah, you know, removed them. With a chisel.”
