The Domain in NW Austin will soon have an upscale- casual eatery that offers guests a one-of-a kind dining experience from food to décor. It won’t be long, it’s right next door to North and near the outdoor fireplace and stage. I personally can’t wait. Make time to go to the Domain this week-end and eat at any of the wonderful restaurants and check out this imposing new restaurant under contruction!

As it says on their website – “a world of food awaits at Grand Lux Café”. In an elegant but relaxed setting, internationally inspired food is served in a relaxed yet elegant setting. Italian trattorias, French bistros and the grand cafes and pastry shops of Venice have all inspired the menu of this café. Blending all that grandeur with the spirit of an all American restaurant is what will give you this unique dining experience.
There will literally be a culinary world tour of food available on the menu – Pierogies from Poland, Beignets from New Orleans, Asian Short Rib Tacos, Ahi Ceviche will be on the minis, bites and tapas menu. For a main course, you’ll see dishes like Crispy Caramel Chicken, Indochine Shrimp and Chicken that blends Chinese and Indian flavors together. Along with that, there will be fresh seafood, wood fired certified Angus steaks and slow roasted ribs. And, let’s not forget desserts where you will be able to choose items like Molten Chocolate Cake and a box of homemade Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies served warm right from the oven.
As far as décor, you’ll see inlaid leather seating, warm wood paneling, colorful drum lamp shades and roaring fireplaces. Expansive windows and open kitchens all come together to give you dining experience you won’t soon forget.
