Founders Les Highet and Erma Hueneke take great pride in making sure this family owned restaurant preserves the high standards that make their food so delicious. Their recipes use only the best ingredients including butters and sauces that are made fresh in their restaurant’s kitchen. They not only serve the finest pancakes available, the service is pleasant and courteous.
A sampling of what you’ll find on the menu is their famous signature Apple Pancake which is a single large pancake that is surrounded with sautéed apples and cinnamon sugar then baked until it is perfectly done creating a rich cinnamon sugar glaze. There’s also the Dutch Baby which is an air-filled pancake baked until golden, then served with lemon, whipped butter and powdered sugar. Along with pancakes, you can also get delicious omelets and crepes. Like the Mushroom Omelet that is topped with homemade mushroom sherry sauce, rolled in a skillet, then oven baked to produce a light and moist omelet. There is also the Continental Crepe that is rolled with sour cream balanced with orange liqueur and served with their famous tropical syrup made with a blend of citrus fruits.
