Owners Anthony and Chad believe that honesty is the best policy and that includes making ice cream. They use only pure, wholesome ingredients and never use artificial flavor or color, preservatives or high fructose corn syrup. They believe that ice cream should not only taste good, it should ‘be’ good. All of the milk and cream used to make the ice cream comes from a local, family-owned dairy; and everything else from the sauces, syrups, marshmallows and cakes is made by hand in their kitchen. Their ice creams are seasonal so as to be as fresh as possible – Cilantro Lime and Dewberry Corn Cobbler are a couple of flavors that are made when the ingredients are in season here in Texas. That way, they can provide a variety throughout the year and guarantee a farm-to-table product that is always fresh and yummy!
On the seasonal menu you’ll find LEMONADE POUNDCAKE – a classic lemon poundcake made with local Me and the Bees Lemonade that is folded into tart lemon and fresh mint ice cream. On the everyday menu, there’s the TEXAS SHEET CAKE – their interpretation of that classic cake combined in a swirl of chocolate pecan icing folded into a delicate chocolate ice cream base. Lick has been written up in a variety of magazines and newspapers and also appeared on Bravo TV.
