What a perfect setting for our annual Canyon Creek Subdivision, Easter Egg Hunt! We moved the event from Trailhead Park to the Canyon Creek Park this year. The sloping venue amongst the trees worked perfectly to hide our Easter Eggs and divide out the 3 groups of youngster’s participating!
Jennifer Zimmerman and I teamed up to get this event back on track and were so glad we did!! It was a thrill to see all the residents with their kids and grand-kids streaming into the park. Sharing life together in our community is one of the many things we both love about living in Canyon Creek.
John Parker, Associate Pastor of Music and Worship with Austin Baptist Church brought his electronic equipment, played songs and led the charge for each group participating in the Easter Egg Hunt. Thank you for herding these cutie pies in sharing in another meaningful activity, showing once again why “we love where we live!”
This year our Easter Bunny was “Ju (Juliet) Ruiz”, a friend of my granddaughter Maggie Stout, who was playing in volleyball tournament and couldn’t make the event. Ju’s smile and tenderness with all the little ones having their picture taken was most appreciated. She passed out brightly colored sponge balls in the shape of an Easter egg which I provided for each child, which appeared to be a big hit!
