If you don’t know Steve Alvarez I’d like to introduce you to this retired Army officer who grew up in Miami, FL and moved into the Canyon Creek Subdivision in 2015 with his wife and four children.
Steve is an author of Selling War: A Critical Look at the Military’s PR Machine (University of Nebraska Press- Potomac Books). Thank you for your service, Steve, and glad to hear you transferred the weight as a soldier and officer off your shoulders and now enjoy the weight of your children on your shoulders (even if literally they may not be on them)! You are now enlightening others with your adventures in the important role of parenting.
Steve created a blog “The Burb Dad” that I find delightful! I appreciate Steve’s desire to put a smile on our faces as he continues his journey into fatherhood, without a map and compass and without a manual! That’s right he is not including a manual. Steve is writing about hope, adventure, love and discovery for both he and his family, after becoming the Burb Dad 5 years ago.
