In 1999 Leon and Tiffany Chen started their Warm – Cookie Delivery Company when they were sophomores at the University of Texas, baking cookies out of Leon’s oven in his apartment! Don’t you love the entrepreneurial spirit of our UT students! Just look at a few companies created while students were at UT: Michael Dell created his company in his dorm room and Amy Simmons created her “Amy’s Ice Creams” while at UT!
Leon and Tiffany married, opened their first storefront and expanded to 19 locations in the Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio area! They now plan on expanding out of state and are hoping for this to be a reality by the end of 2016.
The cookies originated from a recipe Tiffany’s mom taught her to bake and over the years has been tweaked for the volume they make. Each bakery has the capacity to make 40 dozen cookies every 15 minutes! That is a lot of cookies!
