Sala & Betty are the childhood names of owners Teresa & Betty Wilson. Local Austin chef and restaurateur Teresa Wilson loves to prepare well-executed, wholesome food that is simple yet more sophisticated than your usual casual restaurant. After many years of experience in the restaurant industry, her cooking and crafting skills are evident in her various styles, flavors and cuisines.
Sala & Betty has an offbeat American menu with local and seasonal food that is always prepared from scratch with TLC. Their wish is to provide healthy and delicious meal options for everyone – young and old. If you’re in a hurry, stop by and get something from their To-Go menu. If you’re looking for a place to hang out and stay awhile – this is it.
Here is a sampling of what is on their menu: On the starter menu there is Gnocchi with thyme brown butter, celery, swiss chard with an Apple 
Cider Gastrique. For your entree try Sauteed Shrimp with avocado puree, a quinoa cake, pickled carrot and shishito pepper Or, the Pan Seared Sirloin with hash 
browns, garlic zucchini, oyster mushrooms with a red wine sauce. Afterwards, enjoy a chocolate soufflé, crème brulee or the dessert of the day! At Sala and Betty, it’s TLC served PDQ – in other words, fresh locally sourced food prepared with tender loving care and served pretty darn quick!
