Rain…Rain ~You shut down the Canyon Creek Fall Festival 10-24-2015!
Torrential rains in Austin forced the cancellation of many of the scheduled activities for the Canyon Creek Fall Festival held on Saturday October 24, 2015!
We hated to see the Bouncy House and Obstacle Course, The Creepy Crawly Show, the Westwood String Quartet, face painting, tattoos and arts & crafts cancelled! The red carpet was still rolled out for the few brave children dressed in their costumes so the costume contest proceeded as planned!! Richard Rutner was our special guest judge, a Canyon Creek resident artist.
We can’t complain we need the rain and have never been shut down before due to weather! Since Halloween is next Saturday the event is not going to be rescheduled. Thank you Jennifer and Don Zimmerman for all your hard work!!!!
Please take note the tree lighting ceremony in the Canyon Creek Park will be coming up on December 5th..I’ll keep you posted on details.
